I had this theory a game theory just kidding I had this idea to 'mount' my spare peripherals, since I have 2 spare mice and a spare keyboard. The only issue is they don't light up when just plugged into a USB outlet. I have two options 1- Get a cable splitter and run the wires from my pc 2- Use my old dead laptop, see if it will turn on the mouse lights, and run it from there Anyone have suggestions or other ideas?

    Out of the ones which you mentioned, 1 seems pretty useful to run it from the PC via a cable splitter. The 2nd idea of using "dead laptop" will be like keeping the peripherals dead. If the laptop works its a different case.
