As the title suggests.

I am part of the Razer ecosystem so by default my instinct is to go Razer, however the arena 7’s having a tweeter and a little bigger sub is kind of winning me over.

Can anyone weigh in on what the better system might be?

Nommo v2 is a great device. I purchased mine 12/2023

I had the Nommo v2, but not impressed. Out of the box it sounds awful. The built in spatial audio is absolutely terrible as well, sounds like you’re under water.

So you’ll need to spend £20 on the separate THX app to get that to sound better or a number of other programs you could use I guess. The built in stuff has no option to change spatial distance or clarity over the standard EQ unlike the THX app. Considering Razer own THX I don’t understand why they charge you extra for this when they adverstise the unit as THX. The THX app is much better at being able to use the EQ to make it sound better.

I’ve not found any good settings to make the speaker sound good even in stereo mode. No tweeters compared to the SteelSeries which do, which I didn’t think would matter but the clarity is not good on the Nommo V2s so I guess that was more of a deal that I realised.

The subwoofer on the Razer seems good and the package as a whole is seemingly built and prestented well.

The Razer software rams down your throat loads of unnecesary more Razer software you don’t want when installing the one thing you want/need.

Then you have the random disconnects and power offs with the Razer and by then you’ll have just about had enough of it.

Synapse v4 as that’s what they provide now online although the older software is probably lurking around somewhere if that might make things better. I didn’t keep it to find out.
