I just bought this mouse and expected a smooth scrolling experience with the two modes and the automatic switching. But when I use the free/smooth scrolling the mouse still scrolls in steps and not at all smooth. Is it possible to change this in anyway? This is otherwise really annoying as stopping the wheel sometimes causes a step backwards and without smooth high resolution scrolling this is a big jump on websites and huge text/source code files.

Hello there,
Does it make any difference when the Razer Synapse software is temporarily disabled? Try to reinstall your mouse’s drivers. If that didn’t work out, then drop me a PM along with your device’s serial number so I can validate it and check for other workarounds.
