Hi, I bought myself new DA V2 Pro, and I was wondering what is the best way to preserve longevity of battery ?
Is it ok to use it till 1% and charger it to 100% or is it better to keep it like smartphones between 30-80% ?

Smartphones use Lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery and wireless mouse use Nickel–metal hydride (NiMH) battery, so they have different properties of how longevity decays.
The battery longevity eventually decays in time, we just can't help it.
In my years of NiMH rechargeable battery use experience, the following can be pointers of lasting it longer
It all relates to science, on how fast the chemical property of the NiMH decays and how the manufacturers make the battery. Which is something we do not have control of.
If you sense that the battery is running out faster then before, there is an experiment where it temporary can make the battery run longer again; but not for a long shot.
Once the battery is fully empty~~~

- Only recharge when its critical (below 10%)
- Do not leave it on recharge once it reaches 100% full capacity

Once the battery is fully empty~~~
- Wrap it in a plastic sandwich wrapper (firmly, no air gaps and no holes)
- Leave it in the fridge for 48 hours before using it
Eventually, there will be a time the battery in the wireless mouse will need to be swapped out.
Which involve very simple laboring and buying a new battery for few dollars.

While we can keep our Laptop or desktop computers plugged in all the time, a wireless mouse runs on a battery. This may result in its battery being drained quickly because of the amount of time it's in use. Although you cannot stop its battery from draining, you can at least extend its life...
If the battery dies, USB wired connection is an alternative solution.
Best thing about Basilisk ULT; battery replacement procedure is very easy

Probably same as in DA V2 Pro.
I read (link down) that on smartphones with li-ion battery the best thing to preserve battery is to keep her between 30-80% and I thought maybe same thing is with mouse. Article is not like some kind of wise guy wrote it, someone really put effort in it with graphs and all the explanation.

I sometimes charge it to 100%, mostly up to 70-80% (as smartphones), to preserve better battery lifespan.

And on how much do you put it on charge on around 30% ?
