Hi guys, I’m looking for some help here.

So I recently got this headset and I’ve been playing around with the EQ a bit to see what sounds the best. Of course looked up “Best EQ” but it brought up the previous model which has +12 levels instead of what is now +5.

Can anyone help with this and do you recommend any particular set up that I can easily do? Headset is used for PS5, watching movies/TV etc but just want to get the best general sound out of these.

+7 +5 +4 +3 +2 +4 +1 +5 +5 +8   - this is what I found on Reddit but obviously cant use this as can’t go above +5

When it comes to setting up the equalizer (EQ) for your headset, it can be a subjective process since it depends on your personal preferences and the specific model of headset you have. Since you mentioned that your headset has a limited range of +5 for adjustments, it's important to make the best use of these settings to get the desired sound quality.

Here's a general approach to setting up your EQ:

  1. Flat EQ: Start with a flat EQ, where all settings are at 0 or the midpoint. This will give you a balanced sound to begin with.

  2. Music or Movie Mode: Depending on what you're using the headset for (e.g., gaming, watching movies/TV, or listening to music), you may want to adjust the EQ accordingly. Some headsets have preset modes for these specific scenarios. If your headset has these presets, try them out to see which one suits your usage the best.

  3. Fine-Tuning: Play audio that represents what you'll be using the headset for. For example, if you're gaming, play a game with various sound effects, dialogue, and music. If you're watching movies, play a movie with different types of scenes. While doing this, make small adjustments to the EQ settings (+5, +4, +3, +2, +1) and see which setting provides the best sound quality for your specific needs.

  4. Personal Preference: The "best" EQ setting is highly subjective. Some people prefer a bass-heavy sound, while others prefer a more balanced or treble-heavy sound. It ultimately depends on your personal taste.

  5. Test Anchor Words: It seems like you want to optimize your EQ settings for a specific scenario, such as "best epson projectors." When using the settings for a specific scenario like projectors, you may want to adjust the EQ to emphasize or de-emphasize certain frequencies that enhance the audio for that scenario. For projectors, you may want to enhance dialog clarity and reduce background noise.

  6. Note Down Your Settings: Once you've found an EQ setting that you like, take note of the specific values (e.g., +2 bass, +3 treble) so you can easily reset your EQ to your preferred settings in the future.

Remember that what sounds "best" is a matter of personal preference, so don't be afraid to experiment and adjust your EQ settings until you find a sound profile that you enjoy. It may take some time and trial and error to get it just right for your specific needs, including when using the settings for "best epson projectors."
