I need a way to create a dual-function macro where holding down a key performs its regular function, and releasing that key or after a delay triggers another macro.

+1Dunno if it’s possible in Synapse 3, because I don’t use it since year or more, but the new Synapse beta - you can create a macro, that does it stuff, then insert a delay, and after delay you can invoke other macro(s).
You cannot create macro, that does “some thing” after pressing a key, then it does “next thing” after release.
