Have any of you upgraded your RAM on your Razer Blade 18 successfully? If so, what RAM did you use? I purchased and installed Crucial DDR5 RAM, 2x32GB, SODIMM, 5200mHz, but after installation I get a black screen. Everything is updated on my machine, Windows, Razer Firmware, Bios, everything. Still, a black screen. So, I think this RAM is not compatible with the machine even though it meets Razer’s specs, and Crucial says its compatible. What have you installed on your machine successfully that works out of the box. Please advise. Thank you

Try starting with one stick in one slot or another, then test 2nd stick.

Sometimes happens, that RAM is dead on arrival, so Crucial should send a new ones.

I tried that. I als updated windows, Razer firmware, and bios. Still same result. I’m returning the ram for a refund. I’ll try something else if another Razer 18 owner tells me it worked for them.

One thing ive seen and had an issue that i could kick myself about is. Upgrading ram requires re training which takes time. Black screen and keyboard lighting up is completely normal. Just let it do its thing. Its retraining the ram. It can take up to 15 minutes according to Corsair. It took mine 2 minutes. Previously I gave it 30 second. Completely forgot bout the retraining process because on the PC you have the LEDs telling you what its doing. Additionally. After waiting until it finall rebooted after upgrading from 32 to 64, I got 100s of errors. It just needs to reboot 1 or 2 times to reconfigure itself. and then a few more times before you get back to instant logins. This was with upgraing the 2024 razer 18 300hz 4090, 14900k from the default 32 to 2x Currys 32GN individual Crucial ram sticks, not pair which now work prefectly fine

MASH IT has a video for upgrading ram and ssd. I believe either that video or one upgrading razer 16 he cautioned that it needs to be plugged into power supply when booting.
