Is my Hammerhead Pro V2 Real or Fake?

Hello! New member here.

I recently bought Razer Hammerhead Pro V2 for $15 only. I registered the product's and it was successfully identified and registered as the Hammerhead Pro V2. It came with the box and everything inside (circular purse, extra earbuds, stickers, manual, connector).

My issue is, that my friend warned me of fake units that would still pass the registration test (despite not being authentic). She said that one indication is that there is this extra 'cloth tag' connected on the purse (See picture).

Is it really fake? Or maybe an older batch unit? I would really appreciate someone helping!

Thanks so much.

Hi,

It’s hard to determine is the product is real or fake due to almost identical between both of them.

I highly suggest to purchase Razer product from  Razer.com Online Store or authorized Razer dealer or reseller as a valid Proof of Purchase is required for warranty purposes.

Please see list of authorized Razer resellers. This link is constantly being updated with new resellers. So if you have any questions as to whether or not a dealer is an authorized reseller, please contact at the following link. Razer currently has no authorized resellers on Ebay or any other online auction sites.

If you’ve registered the serial number successfully then I would say it is real.

Razer registration wouldn’t allow registering a product if already registered with another account.

I can’t imagine fake suppliers have a system of generating unique serial number per unit AND be valid against Razer’s database for hundreds of fakes. Fake suppliers tend to copy/paste serial numbers or make up ones.
