Hello Insiders!
My name is Jenjar, if you do not know me already, and I am a Razer Vanguard. Since it is the holiday season once again, I decided to come up with a little holiday gift guide, featuring a couple of my favorite Razer products that I use daily.
If you have any questions on the products I have talked about below, feel free to reply to this thread or send me a PM and I will assist you to the best of my abilities .
Cheers, and Happy Holidays to all!
Razer Ornata Chroma:
My favorite keyboard I have had to date, coming from two Razer Deathstalkers previously. I chose it because I was looking for a keyboard that had a bit more of a tactile feel, instead of having mushy membrane keys like the Deathstalker, and I did not want a full mechanical keyboard at the time since I was used to lower level keycaps.
The Ornata features Mecha-Membrane Switches, which are still membrane key switches, however they have a metal clip inside of them that creates a tactile feel when you hit a key, instead of a mushy feel, as well as creating a satisfying click noise with every keypress. It also has per-key lighting with Razer Chroma in Synapse 3, meaning you can set each key on the keyboard a separate color if you wish, giving the ability to create some amazing lighting combinations. The wrist rest is also very comfortable, providing a nice cushion for your wrist to rest on while using the keyboard. It has not worn in the near three years that I have had this keyboard either.
The Ornata is great for playing games of all types, however I find it also really shines while typing. I find it really easy to type fast because of the lower profile keycaps, and it is satisfying to type with because of the click noise generated by the metal clip as mentioned above.
Razer Mamba Elite:
The Mamba Elite is my favorite mouse I have ever had. In the past I had a Mamba TE, which I loved, however the laser sensor was a bit of a downfall. The Mamba Elite solves that downfall with a new 16,000 DPI Optical sensor, and it also has a much better scroll wheel than the Mamba TE, in my opinion. The mechanical mouse switches by Omron are also quite nice, providing a satisfying click. Like the previous Mamba’s, it also features tons of lighting via Razer Chroma in Synapse 3, meaning you can create some amazing looking lighting effects on top of the ones that come with the mouse out-of-the-box.
The Mamba Elite excels in FPS games, based on my personal experience. The optical sensor provides precision like no other sensor in a mouse I have used before, and does not jump around like the previous Mamba TE’s laser sensor, which is a great thing in the fast paced action of FPS games.

I have had the Ornata for over a year and I really like it, but I think the clicking sound it too loud and gets really annoying.
