Keyboard & Mouse Dongle (USB Connection) intercompatiability | Razer Insider
Skip to main content
I would like to purchase a Razer key board and Mouse.

Is it possible to use a single dongle (USB) for a mouse and Keyboard at the same time ?

like a Black widow KB and a mamba Mouse .

How do i tell which devices are compatiable with the same dongle ?

i tried looking through razer support but cannot contact them since i do not currently own any razer products.

Thanks
Not possible with the older ver of BlackWidow and Mamba mouse.

But look at Razer HyperSpeed Wireless: https://www.razer.com/razer-hyperspeed-wireless

It's possible to have KB, mouse and headset working within the 1 dongle.

Hey FiszPL and RobertOr

This is an interesting question for me as well, I had a problem where my RAZER do not respond to my actions when plugged to a USB dongle. I think it depends on the RAZER software or Windows driver.

I have a 4 way USB dongle, that connects the followings

* BW stealth 2013

* Kraken TE

* DeathAdder 2013

I do recall few months ago, my keyboard would not respond to my keypress, or mouse not responding to my move, but after Windows 10 Version 2004 was released all 3 are working well while plugged to the dongle.

Before the Windows 10 update, I removed all RAZER software (Cortex, Synapse), all my devices were still working, just did not have Cortex or Synapse to interact with my devices.

I do know the USB dongle cause data bottleneck when transferring large data to an external storage, but I don't think RAZER peripherals and its data bandwidth or latency is enough to cause bottleneck.

It could be due to the lack of power consumption on the USB dongle. Some USB dongles are designed to be plugged to an external power source, so that it sustains the USB dongle and evenly distribute good level of voltage and amps to each USB peripherals. USB dongle that only plug to the PC, its power consumption may not be enough to maintain the connectivity of RAZER devices.

Just like how RTX 3000 series initial launch had issues with "core clock running at 2 GHz" (believing to be an issue with the poor choice of capacitors) once nvidia updated the driver, GPU started working as normal.

Every computing have good & bad software update and hardware builds. Which brand provide excellent products and services is a question.

I think the problem may be with refresh rate, that can cause some problem on USB HUBs, especially when you have few devices connected to it, that has polling rate set to 500 or even 1000Hz.

I don't have good opinion on usb hubs, even the ones, that have their own, external power supply.
