Learn Video Editing

Hello all, i want to create my Youtube Channel and I will make my video myself. to edit the videos i want to learn some basics about the video editing, i search this on Youtube, there are many lists are open i am very confused which one to select, and many of the editing software are there, so can anyone help me to tell where i learn video editing and which software is best.
