I found one other post about this from earlier this year... with zero replies. My wife works odd hours and likes to game while I'm trying to sleep. We're currently using Deathadders of various models, and they are pretty quiet. But she has a tendency to really hammer the thing - repeatedly. I found the Naga and Mamba listed in an article as silent/quiet, but I'd like to know if they are quieter than the Deathadder. They listed other companies, but we only use Razer mice. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I don't think, that Naga (Trinity) or Mamba will be more silent than DA, because they're using the same mechanical switches as on DeathAdder Elite.
I can compare DA Elite (mechanical switches) with Viper or Viper Mini (with optical switches), and Viper is bit louder, and Viper Mini is almost the same as DA E.

Thanks! Yeah, just looking at the pictures the mechanical parts look similar - from the outside at least. And the Deathadder isn't particularly loud; it just hits a frequency that's distinct. Especially if you're pounding on it LOL.
For me DA E is fairly loud, but I've seen many other mices, that are a lot quieter, but none of them are gaming mouses.
