Been using Synapse for macros and really enjoying it. However, is there a way to have the macro play a sound/notification when it has completed? I see there's a command line, but I've had no luck figuring out how to reliably play a wav file. I know I can input the address to the wav file, but that requires windows media player to open, etc.

It's not possible by default.
You have to use 3rd party app. for eg. install VLC, and try with this command:
vlc -f --play-and-exit insert_your_file.wav
