Need help making a Macro on the blackwidow ultimate 2016

I am not sure if i am missing something here but i have exhausted all other avenues of solving this issue. I am in the customize section of the keyboard tab in synapse tying to make a simple CTRL key toggle for crouching in a game. No matter how i set it up the key refuses to play, like it DOES NOTHING not even the default behavior. have restarted, unplugged, reinstalled EVERYTHING in relation to the problem to no avail. I am starting to understand why everyone laughs when i say i have a razor keyboard. This is my first post, this might be in the wrong place i am sorry.

Hmm. If you're simply looking to crouch in-game, wouldn't it be easier to set the crouch toggle through in-game options? Or are you trying to tie a macro with a set of commands to the CTRL key?

Its an old game, it doesn't have such a setting.
