Is there any way to obtain the QWERTY US Blade in Germany without forward freighting? According to Razer Limited Warranty, the Warranty is only valid in the country of purchase (read - not Germany). Thinking back to the battery problems, I don't want to be punished and stuck without a warranty just because I want to have a laptop with a standard keyboard.
What should I do? I'm either stuck with QWERTZ (which is horrible as I am programming) or I'm stuck without a warranty (which is horrible once the battery starts swelling).

If you're looking to buy a QWERTY US ANSI Blade in Germany, the best way to do so would be to visit online retailers such as Amazon, eBay, or other online marketplaces. You can find a variety of US ANSI Blades available from sellers in Germany, and many of them offer international shipping. Additionally, you can also check local electronics stores to see if they carry the product.
No local retailers offer QWERTY US layout. None. Moreover, as I was told, they can't even order any other layout than QWERTZ (I spoke to Saturn and some others).
Amazon DE doesn't offer anything other than QWERTZ. Amazon from other countries = paying 20-30% more than MSRP, and 99% of the time the laptop is not available for delivery. eBay is full of scam.
Thanks for the advice, but no.
Razer should just list the QWERTY US layout on the German website. That is not hard for Razer to do - and there will be a lot of happy customers coming directly from the Razer Store website.
I am not alone in Germany who wants a QWERTY layout instead of QWERTZ. This is evident by a lot of similar posts, Razer Insider included:
Exceptional, Razer. /s

This is a blatant lie. Provide at least one example, please?

This is not a lie Amazon sometimes has Razer blade with US layout or directly imported from Amazon US, you can also check on laptop seller on eBay or use idealo search engine with key US tastatur/ keyboard anded with the model you’re searching.
I understand it’s hard to search non qwertz keyboard here for your wish laptops model, i wish I can find Japan keyboard layout Razer blade but it was difficult and import from Japan is way more expensive than US through Amazon, i even noticed lower prices due better mrsp in US on Amazon. I even use Nordic keyboard now on my book 13, sometimes if you’re lucky it’s cheaper since no one or rarely poeple buy it, so please check out on Amazon, at this time i write this post I didn’t find a good one (latest model with reasonable price) but once new model are restocked on Amazon maybe you’ll find some.
Cheers

Then provide at least one example of Razer Blade 2022/2023 that I can buy in Germany with QWERTY layout...? Anyone?

I wish I can find Japan keyboard layout Razer blade but it was difficult and import from Japan
Firstly, QWERTY US is the standard keyboard layout, all others are non-standard niche layouts.
Secondly, I, yet again, remind you that Germany is a part of EU. And Razer has the EU-EN store that operates in EU. And it has the US layout option.
Therefore, your comparison with Japanese layout is bonkers.

Buying from US means I won't have any warranty. Which is unacceptable when it comes to Razer Blade. I have to buy the laptop in EU (at least).
I repeat, Razer should deliver to Germany from EU-EN store OR list the US layout option in the German store. I am NOT the only one asking for it: /german-online-store-general-demand-for-us-layout.76634/
Period.

You don’t believe me!? Simple google search you’ll land here.

I think I saw also pre order blade 16 since mrsp was different like somehow converted currency but I’m not sure about that.
Because it is reseller ask yourself if they cover the guarantee, can’t answer this but my book 13 with Nordic keyboard has 2 years guarantee from them, but it’s different story.
You can whining all the time, if selling laptops with us layout in EU doesn’t make profit and only add more problems like stocking issue i don’t see the merits from that. I think notebook.de had also the problem, can’t sell the stock. As for EU layout on EU store I think it’s limited to some regions that not covered by big Razer stores due some imports or taxes procedures, this is I’m not quite sure but EU laws quite complicated for both costumers and manufacturers.

The lack of a guarantee on whatever I buy in the United States is a deal breaker for me. Which, in the case of Razer Blade, is completely unacceptable. The laptop can only be purchased in the EU.
It’s indeed officially, but I saw some users in different regions still got support from that region where he’s living at that time, not in EU though, but basically Razer has service points on most big regions here, maybe in the future they’ll cover it “officially“.

Holy Jesus.
- First of all, the demand is not just me. Check r/razer, check r/gaminglaptops. A lot of people across the EU are not happy about this. Anyone who is even remotely interested in coding is not happy about this. A lot of people turn to Lenovo/XMG/Dell precisely because they offer a keyboard layout choice when you are ordering the laptop.
- Secondly, Razer offers US layout in EU. They have decided to restrict some countries from the ability to purchase it (Germany, Spain, France and some others).
- Thirdly, all the Razer laptops are dispatched from Hong Kong. There is no "stocking issue", and it can't be. Spanish layout, German layout, and US layout - they are all dispatched from the same place. There is literally zero overhead to offer US layout in the countries it is not offered in currently. The company cannot lose anything at all by doing this. The cost of this is the same as shipping whatever regional layout the country is restricted to.
- Fourthly, Razer is actually losing money by not offering US layout in big EU countries such as France, Germany, Spain etc.
- And finally, if your argument is "Razer doesn't ship US layout to those countries because they are not needed there", then why the hell can we choose the layout of the Razer keyboards at the Razer online store? I can freely select any layout I want for the keyboard, but I can't do the same for the laptop. However, people who managed to end up in Spain don't have that choice either. Are you still defending this absence of logic?
Holy hell are you clueless. Now, onto the "you don't believe me?" part.
The only laptops you've linked are the old versions of Blade which somehow ended up here. Razer never offered them directly. They are ridiculously overpriced and are exceptions. There are basically just two. That's it.

1. I‘m on those Reddit it’s rarely poeple asking that.
2. Yes, then buy from there if you can, from Germany store it’s not possible yet. Or get as I said from retailers.
3. It’s if you buy from Razer directly from retailers some of them restocking, there’re indeed order system but will take time until the costumer get it.
4. No I think they don’t, they’re not as big as Asus Apple etc, having only 4 laptops model and now 2023 plus 2 new 16 ang 18, i believe it’s almost full of capacity if we’re talking about storage they won’t bother hearing your whining asking US layout in country that doesn’t have it for now.
5. Not all, and sometimes out of stock, the rest explanation same with number 4.
Nope you can buy from Amazon US directly from Amazon Germany as well but now the don’t have any, and only that atm since new model out, they don’t have stock anymore, again stock. Razer laptops isn’t cheap yes you can say overpriced but it’s what it’s, they don’t do budget.
I have the same problem in france and I try to contact with their customer service but unfortunately they don’t have any solution for it.
Razer should know if you don’t care end-users’ expectations you will lose your future.
Funnily enough, I just chatted with a support person from the sales support, and they told me that it is possible to order non DE layout Razer Blades from the DE store. They even stuck with that assessment when I asked again to make sure.
For the new Blade 14, there actually is one option in regards to keyboard layout, which is DE. According to the support person, all other variants are sold out. When I configure a Blade, it says ‘Ausverkauft’/‘sold out’ at the bottom, regardless of layout. So why would they hide all sold out variants, but not the sold out DE layout variant?
At this point I just don’t believe that support person.
It’s super sad. I opened a thread a while ago, see here:
But they obviously just don’t care.
To lie to me when I actually ask the support about that, I can’t wrap my head around that.
Just noticed: when checking the EU store, they offer US and Nordic layouts. US is out of stock, Nordic isn’t. They both show up as options, though. In the DE store, there's still only the DE layout.
Can anybody confirm there was an option for other layouts in the DE store at some point? Otherwise I’d go with my assumption that the support was either lying or just wrongly informed.
I agree with Fatalution, I live in Spain, I’m a gamer and a dev and I have the same problem.
I really would like to buy a Razer laptop because of the great gaming performance, but I also need to work with the laptop, so I would like to have the US keyboard because it is way better for coding.
So as long as I can’t have the US keyboard in Spain, I have to buy from other companies like Lenovo or Dell.
It’s really annoying seeing that Razer has a general EU store where you can have the US keyboard, that ships in many countries, but not everywhere in EU…
EDIT: and the problem is not only from Germany and Spain. The community is full of requests to have us layout everywhere...
This is got to be the most brain-dead thing I have ever seen in retail. Forcing people with German addresses to have German keyboards. Same for Spain apparently?
You can’t order from the European site with a German address. And you can’t specify an Qwerty layout in the German site (You live in Germany? You must have umlauts on your keyboard….)
I really don’t feel like swapping keys on a brand new laptop and risking damaging it, but I might have to do that. Or buy an MSI or ASUS.
What is wrong with these people?
Something is changing, don’t know in Germany but in Spain we can now order new laptop choosing between Spanish and US keyboard layout
EDIT: it seems in Germany too now. If you try to buy the new razer 16”, you can choose between DE and US layout
