Razer Basilisk V3 "new" sensor question | Razer Insider

Greetings. I'm on a dilemma, i currently have Basilisk V2, but i'm on the market for new mouse for my Laptop.

I'm thinking between DeathAdder V2 Pro and Basilisk V3.

I would have straight away go with DeathAdder to be fair, cause it's wireless, but i see that Basilisk V3 is marketed to have improved sensor.

But the question is, is the sensor actually improved like accuracy, tracking, precision and so, or they just add 6k more DPI and it's the exact same sensor as DeathAdder V2 Pro and old Basilisk V2.

I hope someone from Razer can clear this.
I think the sensor is still the same (at least they all have the same 650 IPS), DPI doesn't matter here.

DA V2 Pro will be the most universal choice (in terms of shape), also it has ability to work wirelessly (2.4GHz & Bluetooth).

On the other side Basilisk V3 has nice comfy shape, cool looking Chroma underglow, and new Hyperscroll scroll wheel.
Thanks for the fast answer. To be fair i like Basilisk comfy shape, as i have Basilisk V2 and i'm quite happy with it.

As far as the RGB and scroll wheel this ain't a selling point for me. Yeah it's a good add on, but doesn't influence my choice.

I'm really on a crossroad here.

My hand is on the high Medium, early L size. Around 20cm in length and around 10cm in width.

I play few games and mostly Elder Scrolls Online, and Basilisk V2 is an absolutely perfect for that in terms of grip and comy.

But here where the problem comes. I also play Kovaaks(aim trainer, every single day), and my grip in the past has always been palm. But while i was getting better and better mouse control i grip the mouse a lot more loosely now.

Obviously i lose some control, but gain a lot of speed. My grip become somekind of hybrid between palm + fingertip.

And while i fit with Basilisk V3 i kinda struggle until i find that perfect spot to grab the mouse. And for some reason i just doesn't feel great when trying to back to palm, just naturally can't go back.

I never have DeathAdder and kinda don't know what to expect from the shape and most importantly how my hand will fit, mainly because it doesn't have thumb rest.

But it's a completely new feeling, which is what drives me towards DA V2 PRO, the only thing i have a bit of scare is how i will feel without the thumb rest.

What really drives me for Basilisk V3 tho was if the sensor was improved, not just the DPI, as no one care about it.

P.P. Forget to mention that weight for me is not important, cause i'm a big and strong guy, and have strong arms.

Also it's a good to mention that i never used wireless mouse before. :D

P.P. 2. One last question, do you know if they going to release a new version of DeathAdder, aka V3 soon, so don't want to be on the bad side getting the old model ?
lordlosh

No info, but I think it won't happen too fast, because there are other mouses in queue to release.
Thanks mate.
