Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed mouse, Synapse & iMac

need help. Please. Picked up a Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed mouse for my iMac. It’s amazing! However cannot utilize Synapse 3.0. It isn’t available for Mac. So.. downloaded 2.0. BUT…it Doesn’t recognize my new Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed mouse! Now what? How can I program anything at all?! -Ken in Vancouver

Thanks for your interest in our products. However, the Razer Synapse 3.0 is not compatible with Mac OS. There's no news on when other platforms/operating systems be supported. And yes, the Razer Synapse 2.0 can be installed in Mac OS X version 10.10 - 10.14. Tae note that the Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed only works with Razer Synapse 3.0.

Thx for your response. However… my question was relating to Synapse 2.0 (the one that IS iMac compatible. I have it installed, no prob. Set it up. Registered etc. BUT … alas… it does not recognize my mouse…. and now I see why. (Just checked my installed OS.) I have Catalina. 10.15.7. So.. I’m hooped. I guess I’ll be taking back the mouse unfortunately, as there is no way to program this thing at all on my iMac. I appreciate your time. Thx

Basilisk X HyperSpeed is only compatible with Synapse 3 software, so it won't work in Synapse 2.0. For macOS you can download 3rd party software like Razer macOS to manage some settings: https://github.com/1kc/razer-macos

I got my Basilisk x Hyperspeed (what a mouthful!) and I'm using it with my iMac now, over Bluetooth like you. I managed to intercept the two thumb buttons using BetterTouchTool and remap them to CMD+[ and ] for browser back and omegle forward. Works great!
