Razer blade 15 2018 4K high cpu, gpu temps | Razer Insider

Hello. My first post here.

My 2 years old 2018 4k model i7-8750h, GTX1070 max-q, having abnormal cpu, gpu temps even with turbo limited to 3.0Ghz, undervolted core to -200mV. Changed thermal paste 2 times last week with Arctic MX-4.

Also stressing cpu, gpu using Aida64 for about 5 min with synapse gaming mode, fan:auto

CPU cant keep 3Ghz clock longer. GPU's were hitting 86c in just 5 min. There are lots of review comments about Razer blade 15 CPU throttling. But unable to find threads about high GPU temps.

When playing Apex legends 1080p high settings, its gettings around 120FPS but CPU temp was hitting 90c, GPU hitting 83c lastly that PCH hitting 90 degree .Synapse, windows power options were on balanced mode

What should i change to gain decent cpu, gpu temp with no throttling.
Here's the stress test screenshot

Clean the fans inside or probably repaste the thermal compound, 2 years gaming use usually it’ll dry out. With current demanding titles and Intel cpu, I’ve to be satisfied with 80ish CPU and GPU temperature with Undervolting, though I didn’t limit turbo boost only simple 25 watt tdp limitation through synapse balanced mode. It’s 2,5 years same model only 1080p 144Hz one, repasted on 2 years flag and fans is cleaned up every year or even less since it dusted fast especially radiator areas, I think it reduce some temperature.
it seems i had some little wrong understanding about stress test.

I thought when stressing cpu, gpu simultaneously cpu should/could keep at at least 3GHZ consistenly hhe. I read some reviews about and on notebookcheck review's gpu/cpu stress test cpu clock also reduced and kept 2.2 GHZ. I repasted, and repadded everything. And as your advice limited CPU power to 26W and short boost to 32W.

And in games it could boost to 3.9Ghz but in Apex legends it short peaked 95c, but the average was around 86c and GPU average was about 78c. All settings on synapse were Balanced/auto. is this result okay now?

But now have one problem. HWinfo PCH temp max temp reached 90c/ SSD temperature 2 reached 90c on ~30min apex session? does high SSD temp affect PCH temp?

Maybe i screwed when repadding. should i place my pad bottom of heatsink or top or both side? on SSD side maybe my new pad too short that it cannot contact back cover. Can i stack padding on ssd?

Long session mid 80ish average is fine on intel cpu, though that ssd yes you need cooling pad (tape) that has thickness that touch the bottom lid for spreading heat, I got similar ssd temperature on default without pad (it’s upgraded 970Evo not sure Razer ssd one) after adding pad it decreased like to 60ish. PCH so far I know it controls the io, maybe you’ve a lot pheriperals plugged, not sure as well since it’s already for a while somehow pch sensor is gone from my HWinfo64 sensor.
