I just can’t decide between the 18 and the 16.
Situation: I’m upgrading from a 2021 Blade 17 which I’ve used pretty much every day for general gaming, with a bit of work here and there.
I use it 90% of the time from my sofa on a lap tray to game most days, so not on a desk. Next to my wife watching the tv, so noise is a factor. I travel average of once a month for work but am unable to take it currently as it’s so heavy.
I really like the big immersive screen of the 18, and that it’s cooler and quieter. I’m not super bothered about the difference in performance as I’ll be using DLSS/FG.
But I also really like the portability and form factor of the 16 and being able to take it around when I travel for work, which I’m unable to at the moment with the 17. And I love an oled screen and the use that’s opened up with a bigger battery.
Concerned about the screen size going from 17 to 16 being a bit small, or do you think the difference will be negligible? I’m happy with the screen size of the 17.
Any thoughts from owners of each?
