So Asus just released an entire line of gaming laptops using the Ryzen CPUs and RTX 30 series and they are blowing Intel out of the water.

When is Razer finally getting on the AMD CPU business and abandon the sinking ship that is intel?

I understand the hype. But this ryzen mobile is too overrated. Maybe in term power efficiency ryzen is better for having smaller 7nm chip compared 14nm on intel H CPUs 10 gen that blade use, but apparently on gaming ryzen might be limited to PCIe3 x8 compared to intel x16, so on some cpu demanding titles resolution setting and thermal condition, intel even with 10 gen has possibility still a better performance.

Again this’s only prediction, we will know once nvidia stops the mobile 3000 review embargo later this month.
I am looking into getting a razer blade pro 17 with RTX 3080 and a touchscreen. but I have a few questions:

does it have integrated graphics for the intel processor?
can I swap out the core I7 10875H for a similar I9 series?
If so what processor should I use?
and one last thing, can I put a 3090 in it? or will the TDP and the wattage exceed the notebook's capacity?

Yes it’s optimus laptop where iGPU controll internal display, you’ll have intel UHD igpu. CPU and GPU us soldered on motherboard it’s not replaceable like Alienware Area 51m but instead you’ll get double portability and doesn’t have to use two huge power brick. There’s possibility using external gpu housing 3090 though but for some use case like gaming TB3 bandwidth might bottleneck the 3090 performance and your 3080 might outperform it for having better bandwidth connection, however at least you’ve upgradeable capability in the future like to 4000 or later gen GPUs.

Yes! This! I'm glad I'm not the only one.
One word for you, throttled. This sums up the Intel experience. Not present in AMD thanks to 7nm. Sustained performance and without having to undervolt is a thing worth caring about.

Really? It depends on cooling solution which is important on a gaming laptop. Here example for example higher gpu tgp and higher intel cpu tdp 14 nm vs lower gpu tgp with also lower amd tdp 7nm. Beside better FPS intel provide also better cpu temperature. Not mentioned that YouTuber like dave2d mentioned this Asus model has new improved cooling system.

Maybe on cinebench AMD will give better score but who play cinebench:big_grin_:
