Hi guys!
The blade 15 Advanced - is touchpad supposed to only click on the bottom or the whole area (bottom/top/middle/all corners)?
Mine arrived yesterday , it doesn't click at the top, very stiff in the middle and clicks fine at the bottom, I assumed it's the design (like old school left-right buttons at the bottom), but after reading some threads thinking that's not the design.
Can anyone shed some light on this?

I've never heard of a touchpad that you can click on any part of the surface. I assume it would be like a MacBook, where the buttons are not visible/outlined, but you can only click on the bottom part. However, I believe you should be able to tap to click, depending on your settings (like a MacBook).

ah, ok, gotcha.
I thought it'd be like a macbook where you can click in any area all over touchpad.
and if you press super hard you still sort of can at the very top, just seem like an odd design, since now you have to always rest your thumb on the bottom left corner (like a button) which constantly causes issues with touchpad reading your thumb as another finger on the surface (when two-finger scrolling and even just moving cursor on the screen)
thanks!
Hey, i have exactly the same probleme.
At the bottom part of the touch pad it clicks normal. In the Middle its getting stiffer and at the top its almost impossible to click.
I just got it today so i have my doubts that the battery is already swollen.
Unfortunately i dont have a Torx 5 at the moment to open it up.

ye, I've come to a conclusion that it's probably the design, as most windows laptops I've tried (at bestbuy) after that are very similar. I guess Apple's got it patented or something, so other brand can't really replicate such smooth touchpad experience or they're just better.
I tried to find a way to get windows precision drives on it, but seems to not be possible with this model of razer.

Pretty sure all Blade laptops upper areas aren’t clickable, confirmed from blade 15, stealth 13 and book 13. On MacBook, I forgot on 2019 model since I don’t have it anymore but on 2012 model it’s similar upper areas isn’t clickable as well.
Okay thanks a lot ! That calms me down a lot
i was using the macbook pro before so it was very unusual for me at the beginning.
Definetly will take some time for me to get used to it.
