I recently bought Razer Clio speaker headrest in anticipation of having decent surround on my PC, but not having 5.1/7.1 in browser kind of ruins it for me.
Using the speakers in game is neat, but IMO probably not suitable for competitive play because nothing will beat the directional clarity of a pair of headphones. I was really looking forward to having surround for movies & media, and super disappointed to realize that watching stuff through Chrome won't provide 5.1.
I've looked around for solutions to this, some modifications to the properties setting of Chrome, some browsers extensions, and nothing has worked so I've come to the conclusion that this just is the way it is. Ill give it another day or so to decide if they're worth keeping.
