Sneki snek - what is it actually?

I came across the Sneki Snek campaign today and wanted to learn more about this initiative. Things like where are they made and how are proceeds actually being distributed. I consider myself a conscious buyer and love the idea behind this and am very much a fan of Razer and before I buy and contribute, knowing some more would really help salve the notion that this might be green washing - I hope not! Any info helps! Thanks all!

xCryptikThank you for the reply! This webpage is great and provides some insights but was hoping for a little more granular info like where the toy is made and if it's handled in a sustainable way. Ex. If the creation of the toy doesn't offset the "10 trees" saved then are we actually doing our planet any justice by buying these? I so want to support but just need a little more than what the site offers. I want to believe!
