[Support] DeathAdderV2 Pro not charging

Userlevel 1
My DeathAdder has had issues with charging all day. I've been trying to charge my DeathAdder through micro USBs that I had. Neither of them has worked, I look at Synapse and it shows the charging animation while the percentage had not gone up at all after several hours of charging. I'm very unsure if this was caused due to the USB not being the cable supplied by Razer or anything of the sort. I have tried plugging it into both the wall and my PC and neither has changed the result.

It can be the cable, but if it's working with other devices (data/charging), then something can be wrong with DAv2Pro battery.

How did you fix this? Encountering the same problem
same problem... starting to believe that this happened after an update since my mouse isnt that old and was charged less then 20 times
Now forced to use the mouse in wired mode. It's been at 7% ever since
My pc cant detect my mouse but if i use wireless it works i cant charge and my mouse doesnt appear on synapse
I'm having the same issue with the Viper Ultimate. Computer detects the mouse and the profile light blinks when it's plugged in, but the mouse won't charge. It's now completely dead, and Synapse won't detect the mouse. I've only had it 3 days and it refused to charge at all.
Yup just noticed that I'm having this issue as well. I think it's very safe to say this is a result of some bad update we've recently got and not any errors on our end. Here's hoping we get an update to fix this soon. Things like this are why I usually delay any kind of update for as long as I can
same issue. deathadder v2 pro not charging but shows the charging animation in synapse. whats the fix here guys?

FYI the day after i posted this Windows update downloaded a Razer update and the pc restarted. After that the mouse is now showing fully charged. issue resolved.

wow I wonder which Windows update fixed it for you. Now my mouse is stuck at 12%.
I am having the same problem, which is making this the worst user experience ever ... has anyone found any fixes yet?

Mine is okay now. I think the problem causing it was my KVM switch. Once I plugged my mouse directly to my PC for a while, it started to charge properly and now I can use it wirelessly. Just use the bluetooth mode if I need to use it for another device
So after my initial post the problem seemed to have fixed itself but... it's back now just a few months later. I've updated Synapse and never had issues charging it while on 2.4, will try charging it while off but not very hopeful 😞

Mine is working now and has been since I commented here previously. I updated Synapse and all RAZER software on my PC. I am on Windows 11 and i began having this issue shortly after I upgraded to 11... I went into Windows Update and checked for new updates and ended up seeing a RAZER driver update available under "Optional" updates. I downloaded that and restarted the PC and since that day it has been charging normally without issue. Hope this helps you.

Sorry for adding onto this thread,

but I am also experiencing some wonky charging issues with my Deathadder V2 pro. I hadn't used my PC for 4 days, and I didn't have my mouse plugged in but it was on, and now when I turned it on and went to plug and charge my mouse it was at 4% (as expected, I guess!) but it's been well over 40 minutes and the battery isn't going up nor is it registering on Synapse as charging. I unplugged my mouse and tried to see if it was the wire being the issue (it isn't: I was able to charge my ancient Dr. Dre beats just fine).

I tried to see if there were any updates, and I tried to see if there was an update for my mouse firmware but I didn't have any.

I'm going to turn off my mouse completely and let it stay plugged in for an hour to see if there is any change - will check back in with y'all if there is.

It is 11:23pm Est 10/26/2022 and my Razer Deathadder V2 Pro has successfully begun charging. I spent about 3 hours on my G502 hero mouse AND the standard issue Dell mouse that is given with laptops/computers. Honestly, I squealed! I'm happy!

I had genuinely almost given up on my Razer mouse after finding my G502 working again... But my razer is my baby.. To see it start charging again.. it's at 7% now... amazing. I am happy. Baby steps, I'll keep it off and plugged in for a few more hours...

Maybe it was just the battery?
My mouse isn't even lightnin. Just got it new. Cannot pair with BT or 2.4Ghz. Works only with wire. Kept charging for 5 hours but nothing. Using MacOS. Any idea?
Started having the same issue here, my mouse would not charge at all. I thought it was maybe just Synapse being Synapse and showing the wrong percentage of the battery. But then a few hours later my mouse died completely, after being plugged in for a day.

Now it only works when plugged in, as soon as I unplug the mouse it dies. I did a firmware update but that didn't help. I tried charging it on another PC, that didn't help either. Not sure what to do.
Yup, having the same problem as you all too, just got my mouse as early xmas gift and it's happened like twice where it just wouldn't charge and suddenly would. I got it to full battery now I'm stuck on 9% and can't seem to find a fix
Hey everyone, I found a solution to my problem, so I'll share it here in case it can help anybody.

After trying and debugging this with firmwares update, re-installing synapse, etc and seeing nothing worked, I began to suspect it was indeed a hardware issue. And indeed it was! The battery connector was loose inside my mouse.

I temporarily fixed it was by literally taking the mouse in my hands and giving it a good & light smash with both of my hands. I know it sounds ridiculous, but hey, guess what? It began charging again. (Not the only one here that had that issue, there's a few posts on Reddit about this)

After a few weeks passed, guess what? Mouse isn't charging again. Tried smashing it again, didn't work this time. So I pulled a few youtube vids that show how to take apart the DeathAdder and I followed them. The connector was indeed loose and kept coming off so I just plugged it back in tightly and put the mouse back together and now everything is back to working just fine.

PSA - If you go the dissemble route, please be careful with your mouse little "feet" as they can scratch easily. Lighter fluid is your friend!

Hope this helps someone, good luck!

I tried this, literally disassembled the mouse and replugged in the battery. no dice, still doesn't work lol.

I know this is an old post but just had this same problem and smacking it did indeed make it start charging past 5%

this actually worked for me as well. gave it 2 decent smacks and plugged it back in, instantly went to 1% instead of staying at 0%
