A possible solution that I have yet to test (I'm still using 1909 for the time being, hoping for an "official" fix).

Tried this on 2004, did not work. Only logical fix seems to be going back to 1909
Hi Any news here ? If bluestacks is fixing the issue , why Razer can`t fix it ?

because razer surround pro is a legacy product. They won`t fix it.
I closed my support ticket [200615-000609] , which has not been resolved since July, and sold all razer products.
razer died for me, bye razer.
Idk if this will work for ya'll, but I decided to download Surround 7.1 (even though having Surround Pro is different), and I somehow got the crackling to go away. I then uninstalled 7.1 to test it out and it still works.
AustinTerm,
Thank you soooo much it worked for me

What?
explain a little more
Since I use steelseries wireless headphones with razer surround pro (better sound quality), had same problem. Couldn't find solution till I did reset on headphones (little button behind foam cover) Works without crackling and other bad noise. Maybe it works on razer headphones aswell. :cool_:

Thanks for this idea, however I tried this, and it did not stop the crackling.
OMG thank you, been struggling with this SHIT razer issue for a while, this bluestacks works!!
Hi I have the Razer Kraken Pros V2 and I downloaded Bluestacks and my surround works again!
How things are going with Win 20H2? Did they fix the issue on Microsoft side?
Hi,
I was like you, struggling with this issue for months when I wanted to look to another software to do the same work.
But I finally found a workaround thanks to randomness !
Here you go: download EqualizerAPO, install it (select your default output...), restart, open the "Configuration Editor" from your Windows menu, power off everything (or not, as you want) to have your normal sound output.
Go to Razer Surround PRO, re-enable your Surround and there you go, you are finally able to enjoy it again !
Hope it'll work for you too.
Edit: And it's gone after playing Warframe, even with restarts. I hope it'll work for you.

Quick reply here - not heard a thing about a fix for this issue which has me seriously bummed out.

Came across a reddit post that suggested that installing and running https://www.bluestacks.com/ in the background will fix the crackle.

Just tested it myself and for some odd reason it works again.Bluestacks is some mobile platform launcher - not sure what magic they're using, but it fixes the issue.

Finally able to use Surround again ! on the latest Windows update

this stuff works wonders. You just made my day, thank you so much 🙂
Just updated a bunch of windows stuff and it broke my audio I have the crackling even after I fresh install I use corsair void pros.

Hey, recently I've updated Surround and it started to have a loud crackling noise to everything. Note that this is not static it just sounds like a really bad headset for example. If I turn off Surround everything is just fine. Any idea how to fix it? I couldn't really find anything useful on Google so far.

I found a solution by downloading the previous version of windows (1909) here:
https://www.itechtics.com/windows-10-1909/
After i installed it i did an update only once (it was some updates for the 1909 ver.) and after that disable automatic updates.
btw i didn't have this problem before (idk how) i encountered it now because i did a fresh windows install...

Works for me on all games - make sure Bluestacks is running. It's a stupid workaround, but works for me. The latest Windows updates have broken so many things.

On a side note - I believe this has something to do with the onboard Realtek audio device. Friend of mine has an ASUS Sound card running Razer Surround and no problems after the windows update.

Best of luck to all - waiting for a fix, until then I run Bluestacks :slightly_sad:

Hello, i have an ASUS X570 Tuf Gaming Plus and i have the crackling noise too. Im now downloading BlueStacks let's hope its works. Sorry if my english is bad, is not my native language

Yeah, just install BlueStacks and it works, and works playing games too [was playing the hunter call of the wild and no problem at all]

Thanks you so much 🙂
WTF, BlueStacks worked. Like instantly after install without having to do a thing - just run it. Unfortunately another program to run in the background, but yeah, it's ridiculous but it works.
worked for me too
Ok, this is my alternative and so far the easiest workaround for this. I discovered it by accident.
You don't need to install, rollback or reconfigure anything.

1. Right-click the volume icon from the taskbar. Click "Sounds" - http://prntscr.com/wasdc6
2. Click on the "Recording" tab. - http://prntscr.com/wasdz6
4. Leave the Sound dialog window and the "Recording" tab open
5. Drag it to any corner so that it doesn't block your view. I prefer moving it to the bottom-right corner where on a couple of pixels of the said window is open. - http://prntscr.com/waseaz

I am not sure why that works but it simply works for me. I hope it does for you as well.
Here is a fix(99% :wink_:) if you guys still need it ..

download and install GameLoop Emulator .. if still the same, go
download and COMPLETE the installation of Call of Duty mobile (not sure if this will work with other games too)

after you completed the steps you can exit them.. you don't need to always run the emulator or the game ... just don't uninstall.

This is some first class Skynet magic
My Gameloop was broken so I couldn't even install COD but it still fixed the Sorround crackling. It's not running just installed (I am also keeping my Sorround in offline mode)
Whatever Razer or Microsoft did I am guessing is connected to some android (or whatever is part of android package or language)
BlueStack and Gameloop are both Android emulators and they probably reinstall some driver or other dependency with themselves

I am going to reboot and see if works after. It does,I don't have the Emulator running on startup or anything
