Switch sound device with macro key ?

Hi there, I have already a bunch of Razer products, but I usually don't go doing macros and stuff.. And an idea came to me, what if I could switch audio peripherals from a single key of my keyboard ?

So, I'd like to know, is it possible ? If so, how can I do that, or where can I find how to do it ?

I've read a Reddit post about using Sound Switch but I wanna know if there's any way to achieve my goal without another software.

Thanks !

Yes, it’s possible to switch audio peripherals using a single key press, and you can achieve it with Razer Synapse without needing third-party software like Sound Switch. You can set up a macro or create a custom keybind in Synapse that switches between audio devices.

Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Open Razer Synapse.
  2. Go to the Keyboard tab and select the key you want to use.
  3. Assign a Macro or Hotkey to switch audio devices. Unfortunately, Razer Synapse doesn’t natively support audio switching, but you can create a macro that mimics the process of switching audio devices via system settings.

Alternatively, you can use Windows Sound Settings shortcuts to toggle between devices if you're familiar with scripting. However, native support without additional software is limited.
