Synapse just bricked my PC? | Razer Insider
Skip to main content

Was playing apex and synapse started updating in the middle of a game. Restarted the PC when I was prompted and now I can’t log into windows because none of my USB ports are working. I have no mouse or keyboard connectivity. Was able to get into BIOS but as soon as windows login screen shows I can’t enter my passcode. Unplug and replug keyboard and lights will come on for a few seconds and then shut off. No input. What the heck do I do?

There is no fix to this I just recommend outright dropping razer and pick up something like a wooting its a software end problem and it seem to also effect the key board after it being un installed truly terrible software.

I don’t think that software like Synapse would brick the USB ports.

I’d boot in safe mode (if possible) and investigate.

Hey it doesn't actually brick port more like it bricks the windows keyboard setting its a conflict between both and it happen at random , I use the razer huntsman mini analog it happen to me all the time at random or even when I boot my computer and it sits in the lock screen I have to use the lock screen keyboard to even get in, also another issues having the software fixes it for a couple of days and after it stops and then I have to stop the razer software process to get it back to working or even at times entirely getting rid of the software even that's a temp fix , yet to find the solution mostly point at software bc that's where the conflict starts super odd haven't found a solution too this odd problem yet, if persist prob just gonna drop razer entirely also I wiped my computer didn't fix jack could also be the keyboard on board memory let me know what you think or if you have a sort of solution.

If you’ve used Synapse 3, I’d recommend trying new Synapse (beta): https://www.razer.com/synapse-new
