[TotW] Naughty or Nice? | Razer Insider

Like any normal human being playing against other people, I can get tilted. It doesn't happen a lot, but it does happen. There have even been a few times I wasn't very proud of myself after I was tilted half passed the equator.

Generally, however, I'm pretty well humored and often shrug off a lot of negativity. Sometimes I find myself being a lot nicer than I normally would be outside of the game, especially when playing World of Warcraft. I often wonder if it has something to do with the progressive-cooperative nature compared to Overwatch where it's a cooperative-competitive game.

What about the rest of you? Are you consistent with your offline self? Or do you find that you're meaner or perhaps, nicer when playing a game with others?

This is your Thread of the Week. As we get closer to the Holidays I feel more inclined to hand out Silver :wink_:.
I am naughty when I play with my friends. I'm nice when I play with strangers.
I am very nice in the beginning with the other players till somebody cuts me off and tilts. In GTAV and COD MP i start off as this very nice version going around trying to be helpful and friendly, then somebody literally flips and starts doom. That's when i change to frankenstein and then jumps at whoever comes in front of me. :big_grin_:

But i try to be a nice person, maybe more than what i can be in real life. :big_grin_:

This one really hit me, got to agree with it and sign with both my hands and legs 🙂
It mostly depends with who I'm playing with but usually I'm playing nice.

Except on GTA V 😬😬😬

I have to agree with this, I try to treat others how I want to be treated but that doesn't mean I'm a pushover that will just roll over for someone else. I'll gladly return whatever someone tries in spades (unless whatever they're doing might result in getting banned/suspended, in that case I'll just gladly report and ignore them).
I am consistently friendly, online or offline, when playing with friends and strangers. The world is a better place with friends all around. This is the most wonderful time of the year !!! Have a merry christmas 🙂
I'm toxic only in ranked play when my teammates mess up on purpose. Its easy to know because people who play ranked to get better know what to do and what not to do. IRL im pretty chill though, life is about having fun so I take it lightly.
I used to be pretty cagey when it comes to competitive games like CS GO but at one point in time the salt from all those lost games just washes away and you stop caring about ranks and skill. Gaming should be about fun, I guess pros do exist but its unrealistic to want to become pro if you dont have talent that is visible right of the bat.
IRL = chill ... 90% of the time

in games, only get tilted when losing

IRL, can get tilted if had a bad day/long week at work. also, applies when driving and setting in traffic 🙂
Does rage counts as a naughty, because if it does then i'm doomed lol?
I tend to be more friendly ingame that i really am.

I think that the anonymity helps a lot.

But when people are digressing to much or aren't enough serious in raids (WoW powaa!), i'm geting pissed at an insane rate, in those case i warn once before leaving.
I try to be pretty even-keeled in rl and in game. I tend to keep to myself most of the time but I'm more than happy to help people.

I stopped playing WoT and WoW because I couldn't stop cursing (to myself) about other people doing dumb stuff.
I find that I'm pretty much the same as in real life:

  • I speak when I can without disturbing others, and if there's a reason I can't, I let people know via chat.

  • If somebody starts REALLY getting salty with me, I mute them, whether they're on my team or the opposing team.

  • Every once in a while I'll go off and do my own thing, and hopefully it helps turn a win at the end of the match, and don't really care if a person on my team starts griefing me because of it (glass houses, man, and if he/she is so good, then why still in Bronze/Silver?).

  • If somebody starts really coming at me IN-GAME (not verbally, because see the second point above for that), then I'll try to give as good as I get. If they always have the upper hand, and it's all in good fun, then I'll joke with them about it after the match. If they are clearly smurfs, and don't belong in my low-ranked match anyway, and just having a grand old time at my expense, then I'll block them - because who needs that kind of junk in the aspect of their life that is supposed to be fun?

I'm about the same. I would say that it's easier for me to talk to people online vs offline. I am more outgoing online and not as anxious.. when I'm AFK I really struggle with anxiety. I really only get upset if someone is being a real honking jerk in real life but 99% of the time I brush stuff off and ignore it.
Haaah! I like this topic xD

Definitely naughty playing with friends but very nice playing with strangers 🙂 Gotta make the best of it when it comes to people I don't know. Leaving a good impression is the goal!

❤
I am definitely meaner when I'm playing competitively against strangers. Its usually in reaction to someone else being rude or griefing.

ill scream at the non razer users
Personally I'm a little rough when I play with friends, meaning the usual trash talk 😂 just for the fun of it.

Other than that I don't like using strong language when playing with strangers. I know the online world can be a rough place and some people don't take that too well. It's in human psychology after all. Some are sensitive and mental health issues can be very challenging.

So what I'm saying is be kind to strangers or at least don't cuss at someone you don't know. I guess if they suck you can tell them in a non-derogatory manner. That will help them improve and come back at the game. Don't send people off.

If they don't suck and you're still mean to them then that a cowardly tactic in my book. I prefer to discourage others with my mad skillz bro.

Except in CS:GO, cause man I suck at that game lol

Gonna drop a like there when Christmas Even comes in about 15 minutes!
Tried my very best to behave because I want to to be treated the same way. Either I am winning or loosing.

But it all crumbles down when you are against with a rude player. ALL HELL BREAK LOOSE! Hahaha!
I'm generally nice, but I can be naughty at someone when they are screaming and moaning pointlessly into the mic. This is especially problematic in CS:GO and Overwatch.
