[TotW] You Tell Me!

Insiders, we're changing it up this week and I want to see what kinds of interesting topics you can come up with that may or may not be featured in a future Thread of the Week. The really good ones will get Silver and if I end up using a topic I really like, you'll get even more!

So get those thinking Krakens on and let's see what kinds of topics you can come up with, or maybe you happen to have a burning topic ready to go? Will you come up with the next Thread of the Week?

With the ongoing crisis now, how about some post-apocalyptic topic? Like what would you do after an apocalypse, tips on how to survive and the like. Not that I would like the world to end, just some fictional scenarios.

Maybe a community driven game since many of us are stuck in quarantine. Would be nice to have a game where you work together with a large group of other people to solve problems, could be post apocalyptic problems too but that seems a little early to do with this outbreak in full swing right now.

@Dekades A survival thread would be awesome. People sharing their views on how they are living life under quarantine or what would their responses be if things got worse.

in light of the whole "the world is ending", I think we can use a POSITIVE thread that'll generate laughs

how about one where you have to reply using meme or gif's. topic can be anything. I'll toss out a few ideas:

-stuck self quarantine at home, got me feeling like:

-my productivity while working from home:
Oh bitte Live Videos.

Also z.B.

Oh, live video, please. I'd love a weekly video show. Someone talks about the Razer products, some kind of presentation or tutorial, with live commentary function. Maybe with guests.

Also great would be more subtopics in the forums. For example Forum --> Razer Blade Series--> Model or name with year.

Possibly a marketplace. Here you could offer and sell used Razer Hardware. But this is more extensive and must be done under supervision.

A real game forum entry.
E.g. which games run on the blades, are there games where chroma may not work. Games Introduction. Games that are not mainstream but surely should be paid attention to.

How about a topic that eventually end up in kojimas eyes and see that we need the final chapter from Metal Gear Solid.

Title: "Unearthed games"
Now that we are in house quarantine and gaming a lot we are bound to discover some old gems that we use to play, back in the day. What old games of yours have you discovered and started again now that you have plenty of free time?

I'm thinking of a thread in which people show their loyalty towards Razer in other way than just writing some text. Everyone can create an account and join this forum, but how do we separate the most loyal ones from the rest. How about uploading a photo with something meaningful to the Razer cult, or something that only the "cultists" know about? I think this could be interesting.

Thanks to Razer deals from time to time, I've discovered some interesting indie games that I may never found otherwise.

Why not create a "game of the week" thread that allows insiders to dicover some of those ?
So we can share thoughs and tips in this same topic.

Perhaps a thread discussing what we’re currently chipping away at on our backlogs.

Who's making the best use of their lock in time? What are they doing that's great or interesting?

Some things I've always been curious about re: gamers

  • Minorities - your experiences gaming as any sort of minority be it ethnic, disability, lgbtq etc. What sort of good and bad encounters have you had? Do you always game incognito? Do you use your gaming presence to educate other gamers more about your difference?
  • Identity - we are all proud gamers here. Do you wear that identity like a badge of honor everywhere you go? How so? Are you plastered with Razer gear head to toe, or do you do it in more subtle ways like a laptop sticker or a tattoo behind the ear? Do you wish it was less of a social taboo to, say, walk around daily with a giant Fallout Pip Boy strapped to your wrist?
  • Relationships - how do you balance hours of gaming with time for a partner / spouse / children? Does/has gaming affected your personal life in any way? How do your significant others come to terms with it.
  • Fitness - many gamers neglect their health, eat badly and sleep insufficiently. But there are also many who seem to be able to juggle it all. What are your hot tips to leading a balanced life without compromising time and passion for gaming?
  • Career - has gaming affected your careers in any way? Or do you deliberately seek a profession that allows you to either be involved with gaming at work, or a job that sucks but it affords you to finance your games and gear, or one that is relatively simple punch-in-punch-out so you can focus your brain cells on what you love most i.e. gaming.
  • Psychological effect - I'm not talking about "videogames encourages violence" nonsense, but more in the sense of has gaming changed your outlook in life? It's weird but I know some games have changed me positively, helped me understand humans and life in general a little better (the irony!).

That's all I can think off the top of my head. I hope to see more of what others are curious about, too! 🙂

Just thought of one more:

  • What are you working on? - a lot of us use our battlestations for play AND for work (I know I do!). Would be fun and interesting to see what the community is working on, be it a side project, full-time indie maker, or remote / wfh freelancer etc. Plus a photo of your work / play desk - does it look the same regardless of time of day? or do you switch things around depending on whether you're hustling / gaming.

Highlight a newer game like Deliver Us The Moon since it has Chroma integration. (Plus RTX and DLSS)

Games/battlestations/setups has always been intereseting for me.

And, I completely forgot, I'd like a section on what's new. So I go to Forum and then e.g. under "Threads with new posts" all threads with current comments would be displayed. That would be great.
