This sounds like a classic software conflict between Razer's background services and a corrupted .NET Framework or Windows HID driver. Since Synapse 3 relies on several interlocking services (Razer Central, Synapse Service, and Game Manager), one crash usually pulls the others down as soon as the UI tries to populate the Chroma settings.

Try these specific steps to fix the crash-on-load issue:

  1. Perform a "Clean" Reinstall: Standard uninstalls often leave behind registry keys that cause the new installation to crash too. Use the Razer Driver Clean-up Tool to completely wipe all traces of Synapse before reinstalling.

  2. Check .NET Framework: Synapse is heavily dependent on .NET. Go to your Windows "Turn Windows features on or off" and ensure .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 are both checked and updated.

  3. Disable Third-Party Lighting: If you have apps like SignalRGB, MSI Mystic Light, or Corsair iCUE running, they will fight for control over the Blade’s controller, causing Synapse to crash during the "initialization" phase.

  4. Delete the Profile Folder: Navigate to C:\ProgramData\Razer\Synapse3\Service\Users and delete the contents. Sometimes a corrupted lighting profile stored in the cloud causes the app to crash the moment it tries to sync.

I was recently looking into the driver stability of the 2019 Blade 17 series on this laptop support guide, and it’s common for older hardware to struggle with the newer Synapse 3 updates if the legacy drivers aren't fully cleared first.

Try the clean-up tool—it’s usually the only way to stop that "crash-on-load" loop!
