How many of us with intermittent working issues ? Has anybody resolved this or already received a replacement which doesn’t have this problem ? Thank you
I have also been experiencing intermittent touchpad issues on my new Blade 16 (2025). I haven’t reached out to Razer customer service yet, but I may if it persists.
If anyone has had luck finding a solution, I’d love to hear it. I’ve tried reinstalling the drivers to no avail.
Also having issues here no help from razer.. I just need a simple response on if its hardware or software from them.
same problem. the touchpad will be working fine and then suddenly it acts all jumpy and wont move the cursor. Would love to know if anyone has found a solution or cause.
Hi! I’ve experienced all issues with trackpd on my new Blade 16 (RTX 5090). Yesterday there was an update in Windows named Areca Technology Corporation - System 6.20.0.41. After this touchpad works without any problems - I’ve tested it today and nothing happened ( beforehand it manifested after few minutes of using the device in any way. Hope it helps - I’ve also seen a thread on reddit where someone mentions that there might be an issue with the rebound screw (placed under the battery, too lose). Would not do it on my own though - but the procedure was well written and seems simple. Anyway - in my case the update did the job.

How’s the using experience until this day, did you encounter any trackpad issue again after the Windows update you mentioned?
Sorry for the late reply, had to test it a bit.
Right now there are no issues whatsoever. After Areca update I had also some MEDIATEK updates ( they seem to be connected with bt & wifi stuff) but otherwise trackpad is working fine. Tested in on battery, plugged in etc. Previously the isuue would pop up after 5-10 min of daily usage. Right now im cruising on touchpad without any lag. Scrolling, moving coursor and gestures - all work fine.
EDIT: forgot to mention - I’ve also updated AMD chipset drivers via AMD ADRENALINE installer to the lastest version 25.5.1 Some reddit posts mention that after instaling Windows image via USB from Razer everything works fine until Windows forces its own AMD updates. ( had 2 of them: AMD - System - 7.0.0.46 and AMD - MEDIA - 6.0.0.31). After this touchpad problems start to pop up like wildfire... Interestingly - AMD Adrenaline provided with the system did not have any update option so I’ve downloaded the full auto update pack from AMD’s website and it is running ok. I would recommend updating Your device on AMD’s end too :)
Some Blade 16 users are facing trackpad issues like poor palm rejection, lag, or incorrect gesture response. Razer has released a firmware update for certain models—make sure your drivers are up to date and tweak settings if needed. If it still acts up, contacting Razer Support is your best bet.
I’ve experienced the same issue with the trackpad on my Blade 16. I found that updating the drivers and checking for Windows updates helped a bit 주소야. Haven't had to replace it yet, but I’m definitely keeping an eye on it. Hopefully, they roll out a fix soon.
Mine has worked fine until today. I’ve had it for 5 days. I hope its software related.
Was bonkers for 15 mins then back to normal.
Mine started after 5 days. I do not think it is software related.
I’m at day 13 and it is getting worse.
Pending razer support case. There was a new bios released today, but it says system stability improvement.
I mean 4k laptop and trackpad does not work properly, come on premium brand mate. They need to diagnose and conclude properly, hardware/software? Come up with some proper response.

Yeah its pretty much the hardware. Seems like faulty capacitors batch was ordered for the trackpads according to the guy from reddit who received his RB16 back from repair.
As for me I’m also waiting for the support to answer. They did react fast tbh and I got my RMA, but there is a problem with shipping label creation. My guess that they just don’t know where to send the laptops from Europe.
UPD: while I was typing this they’ve sent me the shipping label. Send it today, we’ll see how it goes.
okie, I gave it to Fedex today, it’s going to Germany Ingram service center. I hope they just don’t reinstall OS, move trackpad and sent it back. I really hope that they have some skilled technician who is aware of this issue and they replace the faulty electronic circuits.
If they send it back and the issue is still there and I have to waste my time, sending it back and arguing with Razer support back and forth man… liability. Let see.
I just bought this machine and took delivery today I am having these issues. I got it on a good discount which I can't replicate so I would prefer razer fix it via RMA. I am keen to see how you get on.. Have tried all things and still have the problems.

Are you UK based too?
just wondering if anyone try to updated bios from website.
I tried the bios, no improvement. It's fine when I first turn on the machine but as soon as I bring up an app or a game it's gone
The v2.0 bios update does not address this particular trackpad thing.
I seen this problem in the past on a early 2000 series laptop. Once I contacted support bios help the other time or different laptop i need help from tech support. I'm wondering if it's the same problem. I wonder if their a different years release with solution on website.
Hope it's fixed fast.
I went and downloaded the restore image from razer, then restored the pc from USB drive. The issue was still present on first boot. However after running windows update, reinstalling all the latest drivers from AMD and Nvidia, and wiping down my track pad.. I haven't had the issue come back for a few hours? It is all really bizzare. I noticed even the slightest oils from my skin send the touch pad on the fritz but I have been wiping it down ill update if it comes back again
Like 20 people on reddit tried all this. Only success is RMA when Razer replaced the circuits around trackpad. what a bummmmaa
The only difference from the last time I reinstalled was, now I had the new vbios and bios v2 in place for the fresh windows install, who knows I'll report back if it starts up again, I been able to run doom with a smooth touch pad bizzare really
People reported issues even on Linux so..
Well the issue is back actually was triggered by me changing the lighting on the keyboard. Now it's still there even when quitting synapse. Guess I'll wait for my RMA
I know i used the stuff for cleaning my glasses on track pad it definitely help clean it. Stuff great for cell phone and glasses. Hopefully the problem goes away.
