Razer has it's 4k touch. But a 144 or 165 variant in 2k should be the next display offered.

I don't know when 3080 Max-Q will be here, but I sure hope we get this display as soon as it does.

The best of both worlds machine ... have a Razer 15 with 2k internal that I could also go set up at a desk monitor and max out settings at high FPS over a eGPU. I see a lot of promise with Tiger Lake H and TB4.. I think we'll see almost no bottlenecking and can generally expect to output at very high frame rates for 2k over eGPU (running a full size 3080)

Anyway Razer has always seemed to stay current with what makes sense ...and for me this makes absolute sense as soon as these chips and GPU are available for their laptops. I hate the idea of building a seperate machine and managing downloads twice and I hate when people say you can do it so cheap. I'm not going to build some cheap budget gaming ATX.. it's gonna cost me about $1300 more than an eGPU. I just want it to happen as soon as possible.

It depends on display manufacturers especially the n 15 inch, I don’t hear yet laptops internal display with 1440p higher refresh rate on rtx laptops at least, only 1080p high refresh rate (144/240/300Hz) or 4K 60Hz but on high end blade pro 17 we’ve for now the only brand that offers 4K 120Hz, I heard other manufacturer will use also similar display but not Heard as well.
Probably it’s also due turing mobile GPUs still isn’t comfortable running high refresh rate at 2k. I use 15 inch external 165Hz 1080p with 1080p Blade stealth 13 inch late 2019 and had 1440p 12,5 inch stealth 2016, on small screen it’s hard to tell the difference 1080p looks already great honestly even on 15 maybe on 17 I’ll start to recognize the more pixels from 2K.
3070 mobile recently is leaked so probably there will come more display options since 2080maxq it s already capable doing 1440, and with dlss that renders image on lower resolution I think we’ll see more 4K/2k high refresh rate laptops.
