2 Razer Thresher 7.1 for PC/PS4 Questions: 1. Surround enable 2.Odd new echo

Okay the main problem is the sound I'm getting all of a sudden doesn't sound like it used to

My battery was getting low but I was still playing, being I'm a PC user I've been able to plug it into my charging cable attached to the Chroma Headset Stand/USB ports and continue use plugged into that continuous power, as it charges

I went to go plug it in and suddenly the sound changed, it went from sounding full bodied 7.1 to having some things sounding quieter than they did and voice chat sounds louder and has an echo to it.

I don't know what happened and I cannot find a setting that got changed.

This ties in with the second question, I want to make sure I have the surround mode enabled, the description of loud and soft tones on the FAQ page doesn't help, I hear a high pitched tone and a more bass level tone, which is the loud and which is the soft?

If I do have my surround enabled and it still sounds echo like and certain things are not full bodied and sounding as they should, is it a potential software issue or might I have had a power surge that damaged the headset?

This is a headset that is less than 3 months out of the box brand new, so if its a hardware issue I'd like to seek Razer's help in getting a replacement while its still under warranty.
