Unfortunately, I think it won't come at all. There are many rumors that Razer ditched their mobile department :frown_:

I would like that someone tell me the opposite.

Previously before I bought my Poco F1, I have been considering Razer Phone 2. In the end I choose Poco F1 because looking at Razer Phone 1 the updates are not really consistent and not many custom rom and root community in there, making it a pain in the ass to optimise phone personally for gaming, especially for low bandwidth ISP. However, I do love their 120hz amoled design, side bezels and waterproof design. If Razer can provide consistent updates for Razer Phone, make effort to increase custom rom and root availability for Razer Phone, easy to buy phone spare parts such as battery (which some of the geek like me replace it every 2 years for best battery life and experience) while maintaining the design but smoothen the sharp edges for protection against drop, keep the price competitive, I am sure a lot of people will buy it.

All of those things are so true. I wish Razer put a little more care into their mobile dept. I use my RP2 For just casual everyday use, and updates are essential to me. Especially Android 10. Another thing I wish razer didn't do was have forced themes instead of stock Android UI design.

I have a massive spreadsheet on things that Razer could do to make things better for the mobile division and one of those things like you mentioned was to completely remove that theming system...it just causes too much havoc when it comes to major Android changes and it's really not worth the R&D

Lmao yeah it even broke the status icons on the lock screen. They are stuck in dark mode and I can't see jack when I have to quickly check my battery percentage or something else on lock screen.

Yeah some of the themes will do that >< you can fix it through Nova I believe? I'm sure there's an option in there somewhere to force those icons into white/black

Or maybe it's just black
I'm thankful that I payed 200 dollars for the phone on black Friday and not retail price. Hardware is pretty amazing but the overall android experience is not there.

It is a bit hard. Most manufacturers theme their android ui to retain identity. To me it is not really a problem, as long as the transition and animation are smooth, minimum bug, saves battery, zero ads and minimum telemetry like Oneplus, I can accept it. I am a bit disatisfied with Poco F1 user experience though especially MIUI's smoothness, it feels glitchy until I need to install Nova launcher to make it smooth.
I can't see why they would ditch mobile it doesn't make logical business sense although I'm only a random guy with no inside knowledge

Seems R&D is a little ADHD at times. I hope they continue to support it, but i've moved back to my S8 for now, just more support.
I read this news:
https://www.60millions-mag.com/2020/05/20/razer-phone-2-17448

https://mysupport-fr.razer.com/app/rp2

"Razer was alerted to a specific absorption rate (SAR) measurement on the Razer Phone 2 that did not meet regulatory requirements in France. Razer works with the French government agency responsible for recall efforts and now offers to exchange your Razer Phone 2 for a refund of the purchase price. To request a refund, please fill out the form below."

Is safe my razer phone?
Love my phone and I am disappointed that everyone does not feel the same. While the Razor Phone 2 crumbles around it's loyal owners. Will there a least be an Android 10 upgrade, to satisfy us all in some way?
