Are you kidding me? Advanced blade 2018 issues

Hello to all Razer users,

After straggling with my thoughts for a very long time, I decided to write to you about my experience with Razer after two years of use.

Before buying the computer, I conduct a broad and extensive market survey of the computers that were then (2018). After a few months I found the Razer to be "perfect" computer. It was thin, light with impressive performance. All squares were marked.

But surprisingly the problems didn’t take to long to come.

I own the '' advenced 2018 model 15 - $ 2300 computer. In the first year, there were some software issues that resolved themselves or forced me to format the computer.

At the end of the first year, after a few updates, I suddenly noticed that the camera was not working. After searching at the Razer forums, I discovered that there was a software problem and the computer did not recognize the camera (shows yellow sing in the device manger).

After I did not receive an answer from Razer, I did not have too much left to do and continued with my life.

A few months later, I noticed that the computer barely holds an hour based on its battery. After I turned to the razer and they "checked" the battery through the computer they said there was no problem with it. And here, too, I went on with my life.

A few months later I looked at the computer from the side and discovered that there was a gap in the case that holds the computer. I opened the computer and to my surprise discovered that the battery was twice the size of what it should be. I had to order a new one.

In conclusion,

I do not think a computer that costs so much money should have so many problems. Neither hardware nor mechanical.

Some things like the camera still do not work.

Needless to say, how much the camera is needed in these times.

Regarding the battery, I have not yet received the new battery, I am waiting to see if it will fix some of the problems.

Razer you have lost a dear and loyal customer. Ridiculous that this is the way you treat your products. You could be the best company on the market today, the problem is that you do not address the small and important details like most companies.

Same Blade. Same problems.'

Camera hasn't worked for who knows how long.

Just this week I noticed that there was slight chassis separation right at the middle of the unit. Very slight, but definitely there. After seeing the horror stories of inflated batteries I immediately busted it open (after the first two screws came out, the battery really started to expand almost popped the other screws out of the chassis). Luckily I caught it early, but that battery was easily twice the size it should have been when I took it out. Felt dangerous to even handle.

Now my blade isn't being detected by Synapse no matter what I do. So I've lost fan control, power profile control, and control of the keyboard lighting.

It's been a good laptop overall, and there is a lot to love. But it is disappointing to have all these problems, when I've never encountered anything like it with cheaper options from Lenovo, Asus, and Dell. My old Lenovo Y560p and Asus G55 are still fully functional workhorses being used by family members to this day and they are damn near 10 years old.

@Abirz I'm sorry to hear about your experience with the laptop and with our Support Team. Do you mind sending me your previous ticket numbers? That way, I can review your previous interactions with our Support Team and launch an internal investigation.

@Bran187 Have you previously reached out to our Support Team about these issues? I'd appreciate it if you can send me your ticket numbers as well.
