Basilisk DPI at odds with other mice

When I set the DPI on my Basilisk to (say) 900 to match that of a couple of other mice I'm used to, its sensitivity seems way off: it only behaves like those other mice when its DPI sensitivity is around twice that of the other mice (so around 1800 in this case). Any theories as to why this might be happening? Windows 10, software generally up-to-date, very vanilla system with nothing else installed that should modify mouse behaviour.

Hmmm which version do you have specifically?

I have the v2 and the quartz, and kind of felt like this might be the case but I thought I was just a PEBKAC problem I needed to get used to.

What other mice are you comparing against?

A Basilisk Ultimate.

Ten-year-old Logitech gaming mouse and one of their new office-y ones — each of which runs completely different configuration software, but they seem to match up perfectly on sensitivity. Could be a brand thing (actually I might be able to compare against an old Steelseries too, will report back if I do), but I kindof figured that DPI are DPI and you should be able to use that to fairly reliably line things up, so if not it would be interesting to understand why.
