Blackshark V2 Mic Quality Issues

I have recently purchased a new Blackshark v2 headset and I am having some issues with my mic quality.

People tell me on discord, zoom, WebEx, xbox app, that my voice sounds distant/quiet/harsh, like I'm talking through a walkie talkie or tin can etc. I am surprised because literally the first thing that all my friends would tell me after I started using this headset when I speak to them is that my voice sounds terrible. Many times in those words. This is disappointing considering the headset is brand new and not cheap.

I have tried adjusting synapse settings and reinstalling drivers that are available to no avail. How can I fix this? My friend uses this headset for his Xbox and it sounds fine, what can I do to make it sound better on my PC?

I have the same issue, hopefully can get a response soon because the mic is really bad 😞
I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. what you do Is you go into Razer synapse and reset ALL your settings. THEN you go into discord and go to audio settings and lower mic input volume. AND go down and disable echo cancellation and nice reductions. AND FINALY go into windows settings, sound volume, advanced volume, and turn your discord, Zoom, skype, and everything else DOWN to 80 using the slides and make sure the mic and headphones are set to the desired headphones and microphones or if your like me and you have the little USB sound card do that.
This is the latest firmware update that broke the microphone, I'm working with Razer support on this... something is messed up. Whatever they did DO NOT USE THIS FIRMWARE. You can't downgrade either... I am waiting for Razer to provide me a solution rather than RMA the headphones.. they need to fix this.

I was on v1.00.09 prior without any issues, I don't know if v1.00.10 existed or not or I missed it.

The OP didn't say they had the Pro model, so I'm assuming they're using the regular wired Blackshark. However, you are correct that the updated firmware ruins the wireless model. I just spent over a month arguing with Razer support about my Pro headset and they insist that it sounds "perfectly fine". They'll only offer to RMA, and when I got mine replaced earlier it came with 1.00.11 firmware preinstalled.
Can confirm. I bought this headset yesterday and razer synpase forced the new update. My mic sounds so terrible and cheap. Really sad. Im thinking about sending it back to amazon and buying another headset.
