Hi,
The built in microphone i have in the laptop is practicly not working, tests to record fail and it never reaches volume above (6), tried boosting it and everything.
is it a HW issue or there are drivers i should look for? (i've searched couldnt find an answer)

Does the mic at least appear on the Device Manager, and do the apps you're using to test it have permission to access the mic? You will want to try to uninstall the mic drivers then run Windows Updater. Send me the serial number if that doesn't help.
