Cannot use numeric keypad for numbers

Can anyone point me in the right direction to enable the number keys on my Razer keyboard? The num lk key lights up the led showing it is active; the arrow keys quit working, but striking the number keys does not type them on the screen -- acts more like a disable than a switch function. I've seen a lot on google with others with this problem -- but none of their suggestions work. Love the clicky keyboard but I miss the keypad. Any help appreciated.
