core x chroma disappointment

    i have a 2019 razorblade with the 2080 maxq graphics card and i recently bought the core x chroma with a rog 2080 ti strix for it i downloaded drivers and GPU switcher and made sure i was running only the 2080 ti and im only getting 30 fps max anyone who can help

    Which game and setting (resolution and ultra/high setting) are you talking about.
    Actually High end Blade like your 2080maxq doesn’t really need egpu setting, your 2080ti would be bottlenecked by cpu first, second over that TB3 bandwidth comes to bottleneck again, third graphics data doesn’t go directly to cpu but first through pch controller paying another bandwidth penalty. Maybe on most cases your 2080maxq will outperform your 2080ti, on some titles @4K maybe you’ll get an advantage from egpu setting beside better cpu temperature due internal dgpu 2080maxq off that make bigger cooling room inside the blade.
