Curious sound after update to Synapse 3.4.513.51410

Hi there fellow citizens of world Razer !

There appears that a .. thing has occurred after updating Synapse to the latest version. (3.4.513.51410)
I am using a Kraken TE headset on windows 10 ( Currently Version 1809. Build 17763.504 ) which has been working great until now.
After the update to the latest version of Synapse there appears to be an additional playback device in my sounds control panel which just goes buzz whenever attempted to be used.
The devices as listed are:

Headset Earphone : Razer Kraken TE - Chat
Speakers : Razer Kraken TE - Game
Speakers : THX Spatial - Synapse

The first two work fine, but like I say the "THX Spatial" one doesn't seem to want to work at all. What threw me at first was that the THX device was set as default playback device thus rendering all sound output as occasional static bleeps and buzzes.

I have tried :
Re-installing Synapse from scratch
Running repair from apps panel in control panel.
Terminating all Razer Synapse tasks then running Synapse with Admin privileges
Trying different USB sockets.

I have set the "TE - Game" output as default and things seem to be working, but that does mean that the "THX " device is just sitting there dangling its legs in the breeze doing nothing and as Synapse originally set it as default device, should it be doing something more than twiddling its thumbs?

I hope someone can help with this.

Many Thanks

Hey! Please try these steps:

1. Uninstall "Razer Synapse" and "Razer Chroma SDK Core Components" from your computer under Programs and Features.

2. Delete the Razer folders in these file locations: C:\\Program Files(x86)\\ and C:\\Program Data\\. The folder is set to hidden so you might need to change the folder option to view hidden files.

3. Reboot your PC/computer after completing all the steps.

4. Delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->SOFTWARE->THX in Windows registry

5. Re-install Synapse 3.

Just update me how it goes.
Hi there,

Thank you. I can confirm that all audio is now working as intended.

On a cheeky aside note, do you have any idea why my Naga Trinity profile switching seems to not be working? Just to clarify, this was happening before and after the un-installing and installing of the synapse software.

Once again, thank you.

**Edit: After uninstalling the Chroma components, profile switching seems to have started working again ! Could that be a source of a conflict?

Not sure about that. Chroma SDK is supposed to be the one responsible for making Razer Chroma devices work properly with their lighting effects. You can try installing it back and see if the same issue would persist.
