Games Crashing on Blade Stealth 1650

So I got the shiny new Stealth with the GTX1650 and boy is it sweet!! However, I am running into some issues.

There seems to be some crashing on games. I have racked my brain to figure out the issue and here is what I have so far.

It seems like the games that are crashing are all Unreal Engine 4 games. However, not all UE4 games crash. For example Call of Cthulhu, Observer, Breathedge are all crashing but Little Nightmares and Abzu are not. Other games not on UE4 are fine such as Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Destiny 2, and Plants Vs. Zombies Battle for Neighborville.

The games that are crashing will run for only like 2 minites before crashing straight to windows with no error message at all. All drivers are up to date and curiously when you go to the Razer downloads site there are no drivers listed yet: http://drivers.razersupport.com//index.php?_m=downloads&_a=view&parentcategoryid=928&pcid=350&nav=0,350

Any ideas??

Just tested Q.U.B.E. 2, also an UE4 game, and also crashed. I will keep updating as I keep testing.

Since it’s new gpu, cpu, probably it is just still not uploaded, I would wait a bit but mercury base stealth with iris plus igpu apparently is already uploaded. It’s pretty similar on every new release however mercury base is quite fast this time.

Bumping this thread. I have the same problem with PUBG. That's good info that it is an epidemic with UE4 based games so we can get it debugged by the right people.

It seems to happen whether you have the GTX 1650 or not. So it's probably something funny with Ice Lake or the motherboard chipset and drivers.

See this thread in the PUBG forums: https://forums.pubg.com/topic/392708-razer-blade-stealth-2019-gtx-1650-game-exits-on-join/?_fromLogin=1#replyForm

You're not alone!
OK guys, I think I found a solution?!

Stumbled across this: https://trello.com/c/RcFAvi2o/82-launcher-crashes-on-some-cpus

The gist is a problem with some instruction on classes of CPUs (including Ice Lake!)

If you can set this environment variable when launching the game, in theory it should work: OPENSSL_ia32cap=:~0x20000000

I was able to get into a PUBG game for the FIRST time after setting this as a system wide variable. Would like to find a way to make it just PUBG specific though.
