Hi

model number :(*Removed for security purposes)

got brand new stealth 13.3 yesterday, I installed ms office only so far, this morning the laptop crashed, had no track pad or keyboard control, so i held down the power button till it went off.

when it rebooted i had a rectangle flickering which i could make out was a open notepad file i had before the crash occured, so i did a full shutdown and and turned on again, when the laptop came on where it is black with the razer screen with the f12 and del options for start up or going into bios, you can see the notepad screen flickering, when windows is booted, its still there, so far i have rebooted about 20 times and it isnt going away, i have tried disabling the nivdia drivers and the iris drivers, no luck. i really dont want to have to send it back.

Hey Bowley007! Thank you for posting your Razer Blade Stealth's concern on our Support board. Sorry that you are going through challenges while using a newly purchased laptop. Please send the laptop's serial number together with a video or photo showing the issue via PM. Let's continue from there.
(*Removed for security purposes), i have attached 4 images from a video I recorded yesterday during a crash where this happened, I have uploaded the images rather than the video as I needed to remove any personal information displayed in the video.

first image it had already crashed and been rebooted back to the login screen and you can see the ghost image from before the crash, i then do a restart 2nd image, 3rd image the bios screen after during the reboot, 4th back to login screen.

Doesnt matter which application i have loaded, when it crashes whatever was on screen hangs around, once you have logged back in, you get a flicker on the area of the app that was open at time of the crash, but the video on my phone couldnt pick that up.

Today I have only had 1 crash and the ghost image vanished after switching it off for 5 minutes and turning it back on again.

I have tried disabling the Iris R in device manager to see if that removed it, then tried disabling the nvidia card still no joy. As it has only happend once today and the laptop has been in use considerably more than yesterday I am inclined to stick with it for a few more days, other than this glitch its a fantastic machine.

Thanks for the photos. Have you replicated the display issue by entering the BIOS Main tab and Safe Mode? If you haven't, please follow the steps below and send me a PM together with the photos. Let's continue from there

How to access Safe Mode:

1. Click the Windows button On/Off.
2. Hold down the Shift key and click Restart.
3. Click the option Troubleshoot and then Advanced options.
4. Afterward, go to “Advanced options” and click Start-up Settings.
5. Under “Start-up Settings” click Restart.
6. Several boot options will be displayed. Select "Enable Safe Mode".

How to enter the BIOS setup on a Windows 10 PC:

1. Navigate to settings. You can get there by clicking the gear icon on the Start menu.
2. Select Update & security.
3. Select Recovery from the left menu.
4. Click Restart Now under Advanced startup. The computer will reboot to a special menu.
5. Click Troubleshoot.
6. Click Advanced options.
7. Select UEFI Firmware Settings. If you don't see this icon, then press Startup Settings, instead. When your PC is restarting, tap F1 (or F2) to access the BIOS.
8. Click Restart.
9. Your system will restart and take you to the BIOS window.
