Had a family emergency and let my Viper Ultimate die. It will charge but will not work when undocked

Hey guys! First-time poster, sorry if I did anything wrong, truly.
I had to fly out of town for 4 days when my Mother in Law was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer. (We're optimistic :smile_:)
My mouse was unfortunately undocked the entire time I was gone and it died while I was away.
I got home this afternoon and noticed it was dead so I plopped it in the dock and thought nothing of it. It charged completely over a few hours per synapse's counter.
The problem is it completely disconnects from the system when it leaves the charging dock, even disappearing from the Synapse list.
I, unfortunately, do not have a cable thin enough to reach the USB port on the mouse itself. They are the correct form factor just they have large rubber "guards" in the way.
I have rebooted and changed USB ports several times.

Thank you for any help!

I'm so sorry! It looks as if I flipped the power switch! My incompetence knows no bounds...
