Kraken TE Sound Problem

I got a Razer Kraken TE recently, and have been having a problem with the audio. It feels drowned out or muffled. I tried editing every setting, but nothing would change it. I am wondering how do I get rid of this problem.

Does the issue persist even without Synapse? Have you guys tried plugging your Kraken TEs into your phones just to check if they would work just fine?

The audio was fine without Synapse 3 but didn’t have THX audio. When i installed the Synapse 3, my headset was not detected and the audio become worse. After uninstalling Synapse 3, audio is well but doesnt have THX suround.

Try repairing Synapse:

1. Access Control Panel > Programs > Programs and features
2. Find Synapse from the list of programs
3. Right click on it and select ""repair"" option. It may sometimes appear to only have ""Uninstall"" option, please go ahead and select uninstall if Repair option isn't available. By then, you will have the repair option showing at the next window.
4. The software will re-install automatically.
5. After the re-install process, please terminate all Razer background processes at Task manager.
6. Then, Re-run Synapse as an admin.
7. Then, login.

Please update me via PM. Make sure to include the link to this thread as well.

Weird. Let's wipe Synapse completely out of your PC and reinstall it back. Follow these steps:

1. Uninstall "Razer Synapse" and "Razer Chroma SDK Core Components" from your computer under Programs and Features.
2. Delete the Razer folders in these file locations: C:\\Program Files(x86)\\ and C:\\Program Data\\. The folder is set to hidden so you might need to change the folder option to view hidden files.
3. Reboot your PC/computer after completing all the steps.
4. Delete HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->SOFTWARE->THX in Windows registry
5. Re-install Synapse 3.

I just followed your step and i solved the failed to install the Razer Control Device driver issue. But the Synapse 3 still couldn't detect my Headset. May i try the Synapse 2 btw?

Yikes! Can your PC detect it? Have you tried reinstalling drivers?

Did you try reinstalling drivers? Most of the time it works to me.
