[SOLVED] Mouse randomly disconnects

I have an old mouse; Taipan and it was working completely fine. I have an issue that caused it to disconnect randomly. I have already tried the following steps:

  • turning off "allow pc to turn this device off for power saving" for all keyboard/mouse, USB root hub, and Razer Taipan drivers in device manager
  • unchecking "suspend USB" in power plan settings
  • using different USB ports
  • different mice (both Razer and Microsoft, yet they worked perfectly fine)
  • tested Taipan on another computer (which also worked fine)
  • updating almost all the drivers I got and updating Windows (using 10 64bit)
  • reinstalling HID-compliant keyboard/mouse, Razer Taipan drivers in both keyboard and mouse section
  • scanned for integrity violations of Windows via command prompt (found nothing)
  • searched for firmware and BIOS updates and they are all up to date
  • clean install of Razer Synapse 2.0

None of the above worked for me and that left me to create a thread. Hope someone can find a solution.

you will want to delete the synapse software along with cortex. i have had this problem before lasting months and decided to reformat my pc twice and making sure all those settings you previously stated were unchecked, yet no dice. after completely removing the synapse and cortex software (and central for safe measure) from your pc, this should fix your problem. this does although come with the downside of not being able to change your dpi and the colors on the mouse. hope this helps

I don't have cortex installed on this computer though, I will try installing then uninstalling it. Thanks for your reply.
I have this same problem with my BlackWidow Chroma V1. Of course the "solution" is to just not use Synapse... but what does that even accomplish? We want to use our Razer devices with Razer software. We would like an actual solution not to forgo utilizing our components to thier full potential. Small info, it happens more often the longer my PC is running. Max ultimate uptime my PC runs is just under 24 hours and that was only 2 times. I reboot my PC every 15 hours max, often. Is there someone who actually knows why this happens so?

I've also tried not to use Synapse and of course, it didn't work. There is something in my system messing up with Razer Taipan specifically and I can't find it anywhere.

So I've realized that both of my friends that I gave the mouse were using much higher DPI than me, so that makes me use it more active than them. I shook the mouse vigorously multiple times and it disconnected almost every time. The issue was about its hardware and it was not easy to detect since it was fine while other people are using it.

I couldn't say that would be an issue with mine since I always use a low DPI (900-1200) and the disconnects were also while my computer was idle after 5 minutes. I also now think this is probably related to games that try to take over the lighting\\binds in Razer. Even after the game is closed and Razer is killed it still happens. I did have it happen once with Synapse 3 AFTER I uninstalled it. I cleaned PC registry settings and devices EVERYTHING. Then on reboot it ceased to happen. I disconnected internet and connected keyboard, which did not show up as Razer BlackWidow Chroma. I then installed Synapse 2.0 from an offline installer. Connected to internet and let it install the drivers for the keyboard. I disabled Synapse Apps and anything else that takes control of lighting outside of Synapse. I have yet to see it happen to date. It has been over a month. My PC is on at all hours of the day except for the occasional reboot after ~12 hours everyday. Not 100 percent sure it IS related to games taking control or the API they use, but that is the thought I got from this.
