New Razer Nari Headset beeping, poor range.

Hi all, new to the forums.
I just got a new Nari headset (the regular one) and have been using it a couple of days now but I frequently get a disconnect/reconnect beep while using them. I see a lot of other posts in the forum with the same issue, but no real answer. The range on them seems very poor, if I go more than 2m from the dongle they cut out completely.
While using them the headset is less than 1m away from the dongle and I still get the odd beep boop.
The dongle is in a USB3 port on the front top of my desktop which sits behind my monitors, so isn't far away at all.
This is really disappointing on such a high value item.
The headset is fully charged.
I'm assuming the beep signifies disconnect and boop signifies reconnect, so is there any way to increase the range?
At the moment seeing how many threads there are about this in the forums with no solution, I'm beginning to regret my purchase (though they do sound awesome). I could still send them back as I only got them a few days ago on Amazon Prime but would rather have a solution.

I just tested them on my laptop, and the range is significantly better.
Still sounds great at about 5m away.
So the issue is either my monitors are interfering with signal strength, or more likely the power output on the laptops USB port is higher?
