Quality won't go over 48000hz with my new headset :(

I just got a new Kraken Ultimate, after my Tiamat analog 7.1's broken. I used to be able to go up to 96000 Hz, with this just being usb my max is 48000hz (DVD Quality). It often results in sound popping and it's really bothering me ears. If anyone has any insight on what might be causing this and how I could fix it I'd really appreciate it.

In case this sheds any light, my Motherboard is an "ASRock Z390 Phantom Gaming 4".
I also have a "Sound Blaster X-Fi Extreme Audio" as my sound card. Unfortunately I don't know a whole lot about this type of stuff and relied heavily on my friend's input when putting together my PC.
