Question Regarding Razer Chroma Light Strip Set Not Shutting Off

Hello!

I recently bought the Razer Chroma Light Strip Set: Chroma RGB - 2 Wireless Modes. Still learning how to get the most use out of the product, but I am running in to a minor, but annoying, issue.

My setup currently has the light strip controller connected to my desktop via the razer wireless dongle, and I have the light strips synced to my other razer devices via synapse. My issue is that the light strips don't turn off when I shut down my computer. When the computer turns off, the light strips seem to switch into a default spectrum cycling mode. As far as I can tell, the only way to turn off the strips is to press and hold the power button on the controller, which is a bit of a hassle because of where I mounted the controller. Some things I have tried:

1. I have the strips set to turn off when the display turns off (via the setting in Synapse). This works as expected if I leave my computer idle long enough. (I have my displays set to turn off after 20 minutes, via Windows settings). You would think this would also apply when the computer shuts down (and thus turns off the displays), but it does not.

2. I configured my BIOS to disable USB power when the computer is powered off. It had no effect.

3. Google search results don't turn up anything too promising. Some conversations surrounding this issue from more than a few years ago.

I'm hoping someone here can help me out! Let me know if you need more information.

For further isolation, did you already try to repair or clean install the Synapse app? If that didn't help, let me know through PM so we can start a case and raise your concern to the relevant team for an advanced resolution. Thanks!
