Razer 7.1 surround sound issue

I've noticed that when using the 7.1 surround sound it will work but the volume controls don't on startup. When I use my scroll wheel on my Razer keyboard, Windows 10 show that the volume is changing but does not register with my headphones. I have to switch sound devices and go back to the 7.1 Surround Sound and then the volume controls work.
